just for the record: I made it through the laser sci fi place, beat the 4 bosses and have the upward beam activated. not sure f I should go there yet, since it screams "final end boss". And in the sci fi place, there are at least 2 places where there are solid laser barriers with likely some secrets behind it. not sure where else to go though, since I likely need another power. but I already have the 6 arrows unlocked.
oh and the "map showing all the secrets": is that jsut rolling, just telling us that this is what that background map is? or can we actually use it and see it for real?
The lasers you mentioned should be deactivated after the death of the 4th boss.
That door in the main menu is just a decoration. It's there to show that the player enters the mountain.
For the interactable map, it marks items that are still uncollected. After using it, you can open the map in the menu then hold ctrl and scroll the map with wasd (keyboard), or triangle and directional keys (controller) to see uncollected items denoted by question marks.
not a bad game, but the attack possibilites sure are limited. like you have 1-2 arrows, you dont see the curved arow path but can just vaguely aim at the peak and uess where the arrow will land. naturally accuracy of hitting something is pretty low that way. then you have to stand still for like 2 or so seconds per arrow to "reload", in that time everything of course has changed and you have to adjust your trajectory.
which makes fighting enemies kind of hard (or slow and monotone), even if you have like a bat and a slime being there, the bat chases at you, so you likely have to hit and run. and for the slimes, you likely have to arc and cant dirctly aim at it since it fires projectiles in a circle circle.
combat jsut feels slow that way. getting the fire arrows helps in fighting a little bit faster since hits also do some bit of lingering fire damage. but still.
same goes for climb section, shot the arrow at the wall too high or too low?
There are 6 arrow types in the game, you start only with basic arrows. They're supposed to be weak but fast to fire. Later on you'll upgrade your asrenal with arrows that do more damage and have different properties, and powerups that will increase the reloading speed, arrow damage and arrow capacity.
At the start you're forced to reload while standing, but later you'll unlock an ability to move while reloading.
For the aiming, it was supposed to be difficult but rewarding when mastered.

and in the main menu, is there a way to go through the door on the screen with the load game teleporter.
just checked: bosses 100%,items 76%, exploration 97%. so I am still missing stuff. still no idea how to get past the laser barriers.

2 second reloading for the next try.
